Pomodoro Technique Improves Focus with a Timer

The Pomodoro Technique was made by Francesco Cirillo in the 19080’s when he was in university looking for a method that would help him keep focused. Francesco Cirillo ended up using a tomato timer (pomodoro means tomato in Italian) and created a new productivity technique in the process. The Pomodoro technique involves using a timer , setting it to 25 minutes and then taking a five-minute break when your 25 minute pomodoro is over; every four pomodoros you take a longer break.

There are many timers up to this job if you have not got a kitchen timer, such as the previously mentioned Orzeszek Timer and the many apps available for phones.
