Looking for some fun classic games to play? Some of your favourite games and series may have been released by their developers as freeware.

Wikipedia features a great list containing commercial video games released as freeware. Some of the games which are legally available for free include Command and Conquer, GTA 1 and GTA 2 and Beneath a Steel Sky. Even some newer offerings are free such as Sam and Max: Abe Lincoln Must Die! and Savage 2 are available for free.

Another website with a listing of free games is Liberated Games which has a complete game listing on one page. There are around 150+ games available complete with links to the right website and genre listing.

Now who is up for a game of Command and Conquer multi-player?
